Viking Tea with Black & Green Tea, Herbs, Flowers & Fruits from the Nordic Region

For quite some time, Østerlandsk Thehus has wanted to create a tea inspired by ancient Nordic traditions and ingredients. We are therefore proud to offer not just one, but two Viking teas!

Our Viking Organic, which is a certified organic herbal infusion, and this tea, Viking Tea, an organic blend of black and green tea combined with carefully selected Nordic herbs, flowers, and fruits.

Viking Tea contains both green and black tea from the Camellia sinensis tea plant. In addition to the tea leaves, we have included carefully chosen ingredients such as apple pieces, nettle, raspberry, rose hips, fennel, licorice root, and blue cornflower. This combination creates a smooth-bodied tea with a very mild tartness and distinctive notes inspired by the classic Nordic landscape.

Taste

Viking Tea is a smooth and flavorful blend with a gentle sweetness from apple pieces and raspberries, a subtle tartness from rose hips, and a pleasing depth of herbal notes from licorice root, fennel, nettle, and blue cornflower.

The final result is a truly delightful tea, rich in flavor and filled with impressions of the Nordic coasts, meadows, and forests.

Brewing Instructions

As Viking Tea is a blend of black and green tea, it can become slightly bitter if steeped for too long. For the best flavor experience, use 100°C (212°F) water and allow the tea to steep for 3 minutes.
